A four-part short animation series created for Bihzhu's first Malay single, Chendering. These pieces served as social media promotion for the single and were optimised for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Spotify. The cover art for the single and the banners for Bihzhu's social media channels, were created based on the main illustrations.

-- ON THE CONCEPT --

​

Chendering is a beach in Terengganu and it inspired the original piece by the late Malaysian composer and musician, Jimmy Boyle. The concept Bihzhu had for this project was to pay homage to the rich history of the song and Malaysia, through a modern context. In that vein, elements of Malaysian culture are prominently featured in the piece, such as the Batik waters, the fourteen-spoked star and crescent moon of the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag), Wau as the birds and ocean creatures, lanterns and more.
